How I help
We treat the whole picture
Mental health and addiction, together
Dual licensure means we don't just look at the substance. We look at what it's been doing for you, and what's underneath.
Proven approaches
[Motivational interviewing, CBT, and relapse prevention; David to confirm], adjusted to where you are right now.
Your goals, not mine
Some people come in ready to quit. Others just want to understand their use. Both are a fine place to start.
FAQ
Common questions
Do I have to quit completely?
Not to start. We'll talk about what you want, and set goals together. For some people that's abstinence, for others it starts with cutting back.
Do you work with people who aren't sure they have a problem?
Yes. Curious and unsure is a great time to talk. There's no label required to book a call.
Can you coordinate with my doctor or program?
With your written permission, yes. [David to confirm typical coordination.]
Is this confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between us, with the legal exceptions I'll walk you through in our first session. Substance use records also carry extra federal privacy protections.
Do you take insurance?
I'm in network with many plans through Headway. [David to confirm private-pay options.] We can check your coverage on the free call.
